When Mingoville’s founder, Stephan Stephensen, created our online English lessons for kids back in 2007, he had a goal: Making English Learning FUN!

Our flamingo family here at Mingoville continues that tradition, but it’s the Mingoville family behind the scenes that makes it all possible.

As a young, energetic company, Mingoville has attracted a team of enthusiastic and entrepreneurial minds, each of whom believes that great results come from being a part of a TEAM – “Together Everyone Achieves Miracles.”

The Man Behind Mingoville

Mingoville’s CEO, Stephan Stephensen, understood the potential of e-learning early on. With a background in business, he launched his own IT company dedicated to online learning. The first application Stephensen’s company released focused on teaching the Danish language to Danish refugees. That program became a wild success – now used by more than 85% of all language schools in Denmark.

This success further kindled his passion for developing educational applications, and he turned his attention towards helping another information-hungry group – kids! Stephensen felt that all kids deserved quality education, and he was just the person to bring it to them. In addition to Mingoville’s free online English lessons for kids, Stephensen is responsible for everything from kids’ e-learning products in math to adult IT education.
